Shaelyn brings more than a decade of family law experience and a distinctive background in special education to her role at Hepworth Legal. Her legal career began in Wyoming, where she spent ten years practicing family law and guiding clients through complex domestic litigation. During this time, she handled a broad range of matters—including divorce, custody, and guardianship disputes—earning a reputation for her practical insight and compassionate advocacy.

While family law remains her primary area of expertise, Shaelyn has expanded her focus to include civil litigation since joining Hepworth Legal. She applies the same diligence and strategic mindset that defined her earlier career to a wider range of cases, helping clients pursue fair and just outcomes with precision and care. Her work reflects a deep belief in seeking justice with passion and integrity, no matter the case’s scope or complexity.

Before relocating to Utah, Shaelyn also spent six years with her local school district’s special education department. There, she honed her ability to communicate effectively, manage sensitive information, and approach challenging situations with empathy and clarity—skills that continue to enhance her work with clients and counsel alike.
